课程概览


OCIS的课程侧重于培养学生的创造力和实践技能,尤其是帮助他们思考、进步和解决问题的技能。基础教育阶段,在小学阶段除了执行中国国家课程外,进行补充的是国际教学理念的可见式学习。OCIS从建校伊始,就在贯彻John Hattie教授(澳大利亚)提出的可见学习的教学理念。随着学习项目的发展,课程配置发生了变化,但依托可见学习开展高质量教育学这一基本原则是贯穿始终的。

经过多年的不断拓展,OCIS的整体课程模式已发展成:以中国国家课程标准和英国国家课程标准为纲的融合式课程,并以国际文凭的要求定位毕业培养目标。

The curriculum at OCIS focuses on nurturing the students’ creativity and practical skills, especially the problem-solving skills that help them to think and progress. The fundamental education, from the Chinese National Curriculum in Primary School , is strengthened by the international approach to visible learning. The concept of Visible Learning, as outlined by Professor John Hattie (Australia) was the key foundation for the learning pedagogy developed at OCIS. Curriculum structure, pathways and subjects offered can change but the underlying principles of high quality pedagogy, through Visible Learning, have not.

The overall curriculum model at OCIS has developed into a blended program inclusive of the Chinese National standards, UK standards and IB international standards, culminating with the success of our students moving on to study at overseas universities.

There is a place, a program and a pathway, at OCIS, for all students who respect the school, respect their own learning, respect the learning of others,..who are always trying to do their best, who listen to the teachers, who are prepared to not give up and to seek help when needed. Students who seek to become life-long learners and who see achievements in a broader sense than just exams.
