回归当下,探索教育的本质——OCIS家长课堂精彩回顾


教育,从来不是独奏,而是家校共同谱写的交响曲。本周五的家长课堂上,我们邀请到心理教育专家,也是我校七年级学生家长文靖老师,与6-12年级的师生共同探讨。在这场充满温暖与智慧的对话中,我们看到了国际教育如何通过家校合作,帮助每个孩子找到属于自己的成长节奏。 

Education is never a solo performance, but a symphony co-created by home and school. At last Friday's parent workshop, we invited Wen Jing, a psychological education expert and parent of a seventh-grade student at our school, to engage with students and parents from grades 6-12. In this warm and insightful dialogue, we witnessed how international education, through home-school collaboration, helps each child find their unique rhythm of growth.

冥想训练:让身心回归当下

文靖老师以一场独特的“运动+静坐”冥想体验开场。她提到:“运动释放压力,静坐找回专注,感知身体,就是感知成长。”她希望孩子们学会在快节奏中保持内在稳定,身心合一,专注于当下,消除杂念,实现深度的放松与内在的平静。

Wen Jing began the session with a unique "movement + seated meditation" experience. She noted, *"Movement releases stress, while meditation restores focus. To perceive the body is to perceive growth."* She emphasized the importance of maintaining inner stability amidst a fast-paced life, achieving unity of body and mind, focusing on the present, and eliminating distractions to attain deep relaxation and inner peace.

家庭作业:亲子共写的成长日记 

每年一次的家庭作业,不是检查知识,而是收藏时光。文靖老师分享了几份特别的亲子任务:让孩子与父母共同回忆并记录下一年中最珍贵的时刻,选择与孩子共同阅读一本书,通过分享彼此的感受和理解,促进亲子之间的交流与互动以及共同记录孩子的50个优点。这些作业背后,都是积极心理学的智慧——真正的教育,始于对个体的看见与肯定。在面对生活中的困难和挑战时,积极心理学鼓励我们保持积极的心态,寻找解决问题的方法,培养乐观精神。

The annual family homework assignment is not about testing knowledge but about preserving cherished moments. Wen Jing shared several special parent-child tasks:  

- Recalling and documenting the most precious moments of the year together,  

- Choosing a book to read and discuss as a family to foster communication,  

- Listing 50 of the child's strengths to affirm their individuality.  


Behind these assignments lies the wisdom of positive psychology—true education begins with seeing and affirming the individual. When facing life's challenges, positive psychology encourages us to maintain an optimistic mindset, seek solutions, and cultivate resilience.

学科规划:用兴趣点亮未来

面对初中生的学科选择焦虑,文靖老师给出了国际学校的答案:“不是文科或理科,而是‘你是谁’。”

逻辑思维强的孩子,可能在理科实验中找到热情;  

擅长表达的学生,或许在人文课题里发现使命。  

 其实这也是OCIS IB课程‘探究式学习’的意义,我们与家长共同做的,就是帮助孩子听到内心的声音,而非盲目追随标签。

Addressing the anxieties of middle schoolers regarding subject selection, Wen Jing offered the international school's perspective: *"It's not about arts or sciences—it's about 'who you are.'"*  

- Children with strong logical thinking may find their passion in science experiments,  

- Those skilled in expression might discover their calling in humanities projects.  


This aligns with the essence of OCIS's IB "inquiry-based learning." Together with parents, we help children listen to their inner voices rather than blindly follow labels.

心理学家送给家长的十句话

教育的本质是唤醒

讲座尾声,文靖老师围绕“智力与努力、心态决定成功、独立自主、情感支持、兴趣培养、自由空间、承担责任、传递价值观、快乐教育、家庭教育”十个亲子教育的重要方面展开讨论,鼓励学生培养成长型思维,勇于探索,最终实现”终身学习者”的教育目标。

To conclude the workshop, Wen Jing discussed ten key aspects of parenting:  

1. Effort over innate ability—cultivating a growth mindset,  

2.Attitude determines success—encouraging exploration,  

3. Independence and self-reliance,  

4. Emotional support,  

5. Nurturing interests,  

6. Allowing freedom and space,  

7. Taking responsibility,  

8. Instilling values,  

9. Education for happiness,  

10. The role of family education.  


These principles guide students toward becoming lifelong learners.  


这场家长课堂,像一面镜子,映照出国际教育的底色:家校之间,不是接力棒,而是交织的网。我们共同托住的,是孩子对世界的好奇、对自我的认知,以及那份敢于尝试的勇气。 让我们一起期待下次的家长课堂,还会带来更多的惊喜!

This parent workshop served as a mirror, reflecting the essence of international education: the relationship between home and school is not a relay baton but an intertwined web. Together, we support children's curiosity about the world, their self-awareness, and their courage to explore.
